Sensei Daniel Gaysinsky

One of Canada’s most accomplished karate athletes and a historic figure in the sport’s competitive scene. Daniel has stood on podiums at national and World Karate Federation’s top events.

Off the mat, Daniel’s journey from a young karate student to an Olympian reflects his dedication, resilience, and passion for martial arts making him a true inspiration to students of all ages.

Canada’s first-ever Olympic karate athlete, represented Team Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where karate made its Olympic debut, finishing 7th in men’s +75 kg kumite.

2017 Pan American Karate Champion — Gold, +84 kg kumite.

2018 Pan American Championships — Bronze, +84 kg.

2019 Pan American Games — Silver, +84 kg in Lima, Peru.

2019 Karate1 Series A Montreal — Silver medal.

Karate1 Premier League Rotterdam — Silver.

Karate1 Premier League Halle/Leipzig — Bronze.

2022 Pan American Senior Championships — Bronze, +84 kg.
